This isn't a complete setup, I just happen to notice my mate Matt riding down the road and asked him if I could shoot his ride.

With a blackness that only Sauron could fully apprecaite and better seen on the roads of the Mordor with the five chain ring bolts to rule them all. This rig, in all it's disc wheel ducted taped glory, can take it to the best of the weekend warriors on beach road.

Cyclops MTB, Swantson St, Melbourne

Well the Melbourne International Comedy Festival [link] has wrapped up for another year and as such thought a theme relevant post was in order. Daniel Kitson [link] was the stand out for me, even if I only saw him MCing a variety gig at The Provincial Hotel, ad-libbing like a man possessed with the crowd.

When it comes to bikes used primarily for advertising purposes, at what point does one draw the line? Either way the aerodynamics are shot on this puppy.

Reid cycles Griffon single speed, Swantson St, Melbourne

Proving that you can turn an ugly duckling into something resembling a swan, with some carefully chosen decals. Thanks to Sam 'Kid Kong' Wong [link] for letting me photograph his rig.

Unknown single speed conversion, Little Collins St, Melbourne

Hold the phone/telegram, Downtown Abbey just called. They want their bike back and are those mudguards, are they even street legal? The fine selection of components (did I mention I can't get enough of the cantilever Dia compe brake design? [link]) just reek of a bygone era, where riding was not just a lifestyle but unless you were loaded like the muppets in Downtown Abbey your only option, bar a horse and carriage a necessity. Love the vintage chic mudguards.
